I had a previous LG Portable A/C that finally quit after several years. My wife I loved it so we bought this one. After it reaches temperature it shuts off the fan does not keep working like the previous A/C. Sometimes it takes up to an hour for it to come back on and other times it will cycle again in a couple minutes. It has tripped my breaker even though it draws less power than the previous A/C. I called the support number spoke to a person that could barely speak English. She had me reset the unit and restart it and let it run. She said she would call me in 2hrs which never happened. I really wanted to talk to a technician not a person reading a screen that knows absolutely nothing about the product. I am going to take it back to The Home Depot and get my money back. Definitely not happy with this unit.

Unit doesnt work at all constantly trips circuit breaker. The thermometer reading is off by 25f when its running. I like the way it looks I just wish I could actually use it. Oh and it also leaks when it should be auto evaporating. Now I get to deal with having repaired... What a nightmare.

I bought this product last September and I used it in the room where it get very hot during the summer. It produced nice cool air and also wifi system works very well eve from another side of town so I can start cooling down the room before I arrive to the place.Its easy to use/control and install as well. High recommended.

We purchased this AC unit for our bedroom. We are both healthcare workers on night shift therefore we sleep during the day when it is very hot. We are accustom to white noise when we sleep. Not only does the AC unit shuts off randomly but the fan does also from 10 to 15 minutes then turns on again. This happens 4-6 times during our sleep The off and on inevitably wakes us up.
I called LG about this problem. First of all I was disconnected four different times while placed on hold. It was very hard to understand the customer service reps not only due to their accents but there was also a time delay with the phone conversations which made it frustrating. I spent about 2 hours trying to get some help. I was finally told they would have a service person come out to check out the AC and I should be getting a call within 24 hours and an email. Never got the call never got the email.
Spent another hour on the phone with them 4 days later just wanting to return the unit.
We do have other LG products in our home that we love refrigerator front loader washer and dryer. I feel that as long as your appliance works well and you dont need customer service its a great company. Once you get a lemon well now thats a different story

I bought this portable air conditioner in mid-june very glad we did as the heat an humidity has been extreme this year kept our living room quite comfortable. Worked so well I purchased another one for the upstairs bedrooms to help keep them cool

I just wanted to write and say what a great purchase I made. This AC is portable so it can be moved from room to room. I purchased this because our AC in our living room was not working to its capacity and the temperature outside was going to be close to 100. It was so easy to install and works wonderfully. It actually works better than the wall unit that is 12000 BTUs and this one is 10000. I highly recommend this brand and BTU.

I bought this a couple of months ago and it was ok. After a couple of weeks it started making a lot of noise. It sounds like fan noise. I contacted LG and they said that was normal. Its so loud that I cant use it at night anymore. This is not normal. I will never buy LG again. Their support is terrible.

It makes a lot more noise than I expected. It has intermittent noises like water dropping on the fan and sometimes it sounds like the fan is loose rattles.

I bought this a few months ago. Ive had these portable air conditioners for almost 18 years. And this one constantly just makes noise and having problems with the water coming out of it. I got a hold of the LG people theyre supposed to send a rep then they changed their mind and they said theyll get back to me with some choices. Still have not heard back and its been weeks. Im very disappointed on both ends.

This thing is AWESOME With the heat dome that covered Oregon in early June we had temps of 119. I knew I had to get some sort of cooling method in place for my house and bought this. It says it does 500 sq. feet and my house is about 1400 and it keeps the whole place very pleasant with temps in the low 70s when it is triple digit outside. I highly recommend EVERYone buy one if you dont have air conditioning. Global Warming requires we keep a cool house. You wont be sorry if you buy this product

I used to have window units then my daughter broke a window. Units did not fit in replacement windows. I have a 450 square foot home and this blessed unit cools the entire house. So pleased.

Good at cooling but the machine is noisy and I wish the equipment installed in the window was more aesthetically pleasing. Aspects of the design are clumsy and compromise the design of the room it is in.

Unit in general has preformed as expected. The issue is when the unit is in the oscillating mode there is a vibration within the unit that is loud and annoying. LG is working on a solution but does not have service techs in the area to service the unit. This vibration started within two weeks of initial startup.

Performs well My expectations were to cool a 450 sq ft area to a temperature of approximately 80 degrees with humidity levels of 50. Expectations were met and I am totally satisfied being here in Southern Maine only about 20 high humidity and high temperature days per year. Installation was easy thanks to a solid and well designed venting system. The color combination of a pearl black AC unit with an off white hose looks great as compared to the white refrigerator look.

This air conditioner is easy to use and install. Very easy instructions. Cools the room quickly and efficiently. There was no problem installing the unit with the attachments provided. Took less than 20 minutes. I would definitely recommend this product and have already. It works great for windows that also slide side to side. I have this in my grandsons room with the windows that slide side to side because the regular window could not work with those windows properly. It was a cinch to install.

The unit has two drains. The instructions do not address if you can connect each drain to a drain hose and leave it that way for all modes of operation. I am not around each day to check the lower drain to see if it needs emptying.

So far so good into a couple months of ownership. Im enjoying using the app to control various LG appliances in the house including this one. This AC does indeed cool the house downstairs reasonably well. Im hoping it will be functioning and doing well for some years ahead as it is currently. Its about as loud as a microwave as it runs which is fine to me. Very simple to install. My only wish would be better handles to move it around.

When I brought it home my house was at 88 degrees installed the unit and by the morning time the next day it was down to 70 degrees. Diffently works great my wife is very happy now
